Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the service: your email address, name, and authentication credentials. Vault contents are encrypted client-side and are unreadable to us.
How We Use Your Information
Your email and name are used for account management, service notifications, and Heartbeat’s check-in reminders. Beneficiary email addresses are used solely for Heartbeat delivery notifications — never for marketing.
What We Don’t Do
We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not read or analyze your encrypted vault contents — we can’t.
Your Data, Your Control
Your data is yours. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is permanent and includes all vault items, keys, beneficiary records, and Heartbeat configurations. If you need a copy of your account data, contact us at privacy@zerokvault.com.
Data Storage
Data is stored on secure, encrypted-at-rest infrastructure. Vault contents are encrypted client-side before reaching our servers. Even in the event of a data breach, your vault contents remain protected by your encryption keys.
