All your data is encrypted on your device before it reaches our servers using AES-256 encryption. The encryption key is a 12-word seed phrase that only you hold. Our servers store only ciphertext — we literally cannot read your data.

Your seed phrase follows the open BIP-39 standard. You can export your encrypted data at any time. Even if our service disappears, your seed phrase remains the key to your vault.

The Heartbeat is our check-in system. You confirm activity at intervals you choose (30–180 days). If you stop responding, the system escalates through up to 5 levels — email, push, SMS, emergency contact, and finally delivery to your beneficiaries. No single missed check-in triggers delivery.

With your 5 free items you can set up a complete digital legacy: (1) an unencrypted note explaining where to find your printed 12-word seed phrase and an encrypted USB drive containing all the documents you want to share — store both somewhere safe offline, never online; (2) an encrypted note with the USB drive’s decryption key so your beneficiary can access the files; and (3) one to three more encrypted notes with passwords, account credentials, or other sensitive information.
